It’s the new year and we are off to a good start. TECHNICS launched the new SL-1200 MK7 turntables, and for their party invited two legends, KENNY DOPE and DERRICK MAY, and two veterans, DJ KOCO AKA SHIMOKITA and CUT CHEMIST, for an all vinyl sets (of course! duh…).
I will be honest, I am not really into electronic music, so haven’t watched neither KENNY DOPE or DERRICK MAY, but both DJ KOCO AKA SHIMOKITA and CUT CHEMIST killed it, despite crappy cross fader knob that kept coming off mid set. KOCO brought his eclectic mix of 45s from hip hop to breaks to soul to funk, while CUT was experimental with mix bag of tracks. Don’t take my word for it, just peep the below vids. Thanks BOILER ROOM!
