A day late, but it is never too late to show gratitude to someone who has impacted and inspired me personally on many levels, but have never met in person. Few years back, while podcasts were blowing up in the hip hop industry, I stumbled upon THE COMBAT JACK SHOW, hosted by REGGIE OSSÉ. I knew nothing of him or his career before this podcast, but was immediately hooked on the deep and intellectual, but often humorous and candid content of the show. It was like nothing I have ever heard. And to top it off the shows were long, and I mean hours and hours long.
There was so much knowledge to be had on each episode, it was almost an overdose of great information on hip hop culture. Although, there are plenty of amazing episodes, my favourites were the ones he produced earlier in his podcast and gave me some insights into the culture that I would other wise find out. Below are my favourites in no particular order.
Rest in Power COMBAT JACK, you have left a legacy for hip hop culture like no other and your voice will be very missed.
